Teresa Rafferty, PhD, LICSW
Founder
Dr. Rafferty has spent over thirty years dedicating her life to the field of social work. She has worked extensively with families in various capacities ranging from residential care to private practice, providing treatment and service planning. For the past 22 years Dr. Rafferty has observed the affects of attachment disorder in children and adults, and has witnessed firsthand the dramatic outcomes of this disorder within the intergenerational family system and in the community. She holds her Ph.D in Social Work and Public Policy. Dr. Rafferty has a Level 1 license in Alcohol and Drug counseling from the Department of Public Health. . She is the author of, "Women in Transition" and "Self-Help Groups for Women". Dr. Rafferty is a presenter and facilitator of a variety of workshops including, Couples Communication, Co-Dependency, and Multi-Cultural Issues Related to Education and Social Workers. At Anne Maria College, in their Social Work Department, Dr. Rafferty is former Program Chair and Assistant Professor. She has served as a board member for the Foster Care Review Board, Child Welfare Agencies through Worcester Children's friends Society and the Private Practice Committee. Dr. Rafferty is also a member of the Mayor's task force on at-risk youth.
